Miss World is the oldest beauty pageant in the history and it is still going strong. Being one of the biggest and most popular event of the year, it grabs media attention around the world.

The 2015 Miss World Competition featured 110 total contestants from countries around the world.

The Miss World contest is one of the oldest international beauty pageants and was first created in the UK in 1951 by Eric Morley. The original contest was introduced as part of the Festival of Britain celebrations.

Since his death in 2000, Morley’s widow, Julia Morley, has co-chaired the pageant. Alongside with its rival, the Miss Universe and Miss Earth contests, Miss World pageant is one of the three most publicised beauty contests in the world.

The current Miss World is Mireia Lalaguna of Spain who was crowned on 19 December 2015 in Sanya, China PR.

There was also controversy – Miss Canada was banned by China for speaking up about human rights abuses, and this was neatly left out of the show.

Instead, the beauty queen was quietly removed from the Miss World website and not mentioned in the show.

The Miss World Organisation owns and manages the annual Miss World Finals, a competition that has grown into one of the world’s biggest.

Since its launch in 1951, the Miss World organisation has raised more than £250 million for children’s charities that help disabled and underprivileged children.

Miss World is franchised in more than 100 countries. Miss World, Limited is a privately held firm, and thus figures for its earnings, expenses and charitable contributions are not publicly available.

We would really like the organization to take the bigger step and take a broader stand beyond the fact that a winner is a mother or a transgender or has appeared nude at some point of her life.

What matters is the fact that to know her point of view to life and what changes she intends to bring to the world with her reign.
